Lisa Bleich is founder and president of College Bound Mentor, LLC and the author of Surviving the College Application Process: Case Studies To Help You Find Your Unique Angle For Success. She mentors students from all over the world on the college application process, helping them uncover their strengths and develop a personal plan for success.

Lisa holds a BA in European cultural studies and French from Brandeis University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and three daughters. Two of them have successfully survived the college application process!

Brenda has worked as a Principal and Assistant Principal at Greely High School. At Westbrook College (now UNE) she was an Assistant Academic Dean, Registrar, and Assistant Business Professor. She has worked closely with college admissions and guidance services to assess students’ strengths and raise aspirations.

Brenda’s professional emphasis has been to guide young adults in identifying signature strengths and devising strategies for achieving success. She currently uses her understanding of and experience with adolescent development to assist students to select a collegiate environment that matches their interests and strengths. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Educational Administration. Brenda is a consultant for The College Board and MELMAC Foundation Grant coach.

Dr. Ellen Hendriksen is a clinical psychologist at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Hendriksen graduated from Brown University, earned her Ph.D. at UCLA, and completed her training at Harvard Medical School. As an “extracurricular activity,” she writes and hosts the Savvy Psychologist podcast, which iTunes selected as one of the best podcasts of 2014. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two sons.

Jeremy Schwartz is a psychotherapist in Brooklyn, NY who specializes in work with the LGBTQ community, people with difficulties in relationships, and people living with chronic pain. He completed his BA at Columbia University and his Master's in Social Work at NYU. Jeremy is a member of Columbia's Alumni Representative Committee and has interviewed applicants to Columbia College and the School of Engineering and Applied Science. He has taught clinical interviewing and assessment skills to medical students at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and now focuses full time on his private psychotherapy practice, with offices in Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights.

Celest Horton is the founder of the How to Pay for College HQ podcast, a free resource to help families plan and prepare for college without the assistance of loans. Celest was able to secure enough private scholarships to fully fund her educational expenses. She wants to help others understand how simple it can be with a little planning, preparation and organization.
